This adults-only hotel – ideal for couples – has a private beach, a first-class pool and a great range of restaurants. Palm trees separate the Catalonia Royal from an ice-white stretch of sand and the warm, clear waters are fantastic for watersports. There are a couple of beach bars which really come alive when the sun goes down.
The hotel’s grounds have neatly-trimmed lawns and gardens. There’s a huge swimming pool and thatched parasols line the water’s edge and also a pool bar serving up drinks and light bites. In addition, there’s an indoor pool,a traditional Turkish bath, a sauna and a series of mood-lit therapy suites.
The hotel’s standard rooms are really spacious, in shades of cream and terracotta, and with chunky colonial-style fittings. There are muslin-draped four-poster beds, ceiling fans and stylish wicker furniture. Rooms come with flatscreen satellite TVs, DVD players, Wi-Fi and minibars. Outside, you get a balcony complete with a linen hammock that’s big enough for two.
