The Cayacoa has a great location in Samana Bay, with a panorama of green hills, turquoise seas and pale golden sands. The hotel lobby has polished marble floors, plump sofas and chandeliers. The bedrooms have a colonial feel with carved wooden furniture, ceiling fans and wicker chairs.
Overlooking the sea, the curvy pool is a good size, complete with a swim-up bar. It has cushioned loungers and a great view.There’s also a hydro-massage pool that has it’s own bar and sun deck. And a short walk through the grounds will get you to a tower lift, that’ll take you down the cliff-side to the beach.
There’s a choice of four restaurants,the main serves a buffet with dishes from around the world. There are two à la carte restaurants, an Italian, or take your pick from the catch of the day at the dedicated seafood spot. And if romance is on the cards, head for the top-floor restaurant which serves up fabulous views alongside a fusion menu.
