Hotel Lara Beach
This large contemporary hotel stands in well kept gardens, at the heart of which are four swimming pools. There’s a shallow pool for children, an ‘activity’ pool with water-slides and a silent pool that comes with its own restaurant and bar. The main pool, which winds through the centre of the complex is the centre-piece. When you want to swap poolside for beach-side, there’s a sandy strip just footsteps away.
The hotel lobby is decorated in glass, chrome and marble, giving a very classy first impression. The bedrooms have polished wood floors, cream walls and simple wooden furniture and in-room extras like air-conditioning, satellite TVs and internet access come as standard.
There are five restaurants to choose from, and the Italian restaurant, Bellini, is a firm favourite with guests, so it’s worth booking a table in advance. Meanwhile, for a slice of old Turkey, head outside to the Yoruk Tent. It’s a traditional affair serving up ‘gozleme’ – savoury pastries cooked on the griddle. Simply pick your filling and watch it being made in front of you. And for sundowner drinks with a side-order of fantastic views, there’s only one place to go – the aptly named Sunset Shack.

Room facilities
All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, internet, hairdryer, minibar filled daily with 2 bottles of water – winter only. Standard rooms have twin or double beds and foldaway bed suitable for a child up to 12yrs only. Larger standard rooms have a double bed, single bed and sofa bed for a child up to 12yrs.
Room Upgrades
Thomson offer Family rooms and Duplex rooms.
Family rooms sleep up to 4 with a double bed, single bed and sofa bed in one room. There is a separate lounge area also. Space may be limited when room is fully occupied.
Duplex rooms are available in summer and sleep up to 4 adults and 1 child up to 12yrs with a twin bedroom and bathroom on the 1st level, double bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd level, plus a camp or sofa bed.
